Health Benefits

Everyone can benefit from the salmon’s exceptional nutritional value; from children to adults, pregnant women to the elderly.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) recommends that everybody should be eating more oil rich fish such as salmon due to the benefits of its long chain Omega 3 fatty acids, which make it one of the world’s healthiest foods.

Salmon is also low in calories and saturated fat, yet high in protein which is good for the immune and circulatory systems, and is a source of selenium. It is also a great source of protein, niacin and vitamin B12, and a quality source of phosphorus, magnesium and vitamin B6.

At present, the average consumption of oil rich fish is only a third of a portion a week, so increasing salmon intake is a great way to improve health, body and mind.
