Based in and around the pristine waters and beautiful natural bays of Scotland’s West Coast, sustainability and sound environmental stewardship lie at the heart of all The Scottish Salmon Company’s operations. Acting in sympathy with the habitats and ecological systems in which it is our privilege to operate, we pay particular attention to site location.
Our operations are regulated by robust management procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and driving continual improvement in the company’s operations. These procedures are maintained though our Environmental Management System (EMS), which is aligned to the International Standard ISO 14001.
We fully appreciate the impact we as a business can have on the local economy and natural environment. So we have embarked on an ongoing programme of environmental excellence, complying with a number of applicable certification standards including:
- GLOBALG.A.P., Code of Good Practice for Finfish Aquaculture
- Protected Geographical Indication (PGI)
- British Retail Consortium Global Standards for Food Safety
