Q: What is your association with the Scottish Salmon Producers Organisation (SSPO)?
A: We are an active member of the SSPO and appreciate the need for a united industry voice when it comes to certain political, media or development issues. We fully support the SSPO’s Community Engagement Charter and their continued efforts to support Scottish Salmon in the UK and around the world.
Q: Who are your customers?
A: We sell Scotland’s Finest Salmon to some of the UK’s most respected supermarket chains, smokehouses, distributors and processors. We also have customers in North America, Europe and Asia with Michelin starred chefs and globally recognised restaurateurs using our salmon to create their signature dishes.
Q: What formats do you offer?
A: We sell our core fresh salmon (4-6kg’s) as HOG (Head on Gutted) as well as pre-rigor fillets delivered in road freight or air freight poly boxes. We offer Label Rouge as fresh fillets in 500gm and 1kg vacuum packs and will be extending our vac pack offering in early 2018.
Q: Do you offer bespoke formats?
A: Yes. We have experience of working with specific customers who may need a particular spec. We have filleting and packaging capabilities in both of our Cairndow & Marybank processing plants and are happy to deliver our salmon in formats most suitable for you.
Q: Do you have a minimum order requirement?
A: We are primarily a B2B producer of fresh salmon geared towards supplying major retailers, distributors, processors, wholesalers and smokers with high quality fresh salmon. We don’t usually supply individuals or specific restaurants.
Q: What type of salmon breed do you sell?
A: We rear Atlantic Salmon only in Scotland. We don’t farm outside Scotland. Our Native Hebridean Salmon, for example, are Atlantic Salmon raised from wild eggs harvested from the Skealtar Loch system in North Uist in the Outer Hebrides.
Q: Where is your Head Office located?
A: Our Head Office is located in Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh.
