A popular annual fixture, the Gathering offers a fantastic family day out, full of traditional Scottish festivities, including the Heavy Events (sponsored by SSC), pipe band displays and Highland dancing. This year’s event will see a record number of 768 dancers competing across several competitions, including the Scottish National Highland Dancing Championships, the Scottish Championship and the World Highland Dancing Championship. The winning dancers will be selected by an expert panel of 12 international judges.
On Saturday 26 August The Scottish Salmon Company Family Food Kitchen will be in full swing to delight Gathering-goers, who can enjoy the finest Scottish Salmon, with tastings, cooking demos, and competitions. Discover how to pan fry or smoke Scottish Salmon to perfection, explore the provenance of Scottish Salmon and try a delicious ‘Cowal Scottish Salmon Stovie’.
