The Scottish Salmon Company – From Egg to Plate

The Scottish Salmon Company (SSC) recently hosted its first virtual ‘Meet the Producer’ event in partnership with Scottish Development International (SDI).


SSC were chosen by SDI to be the first producer to host an event which was attended by many prospective and current customers. This was specifically arranged due to the cancellation of this year’s trade shows and provided SSC with the opportunity to showcase their products to international buyers.

Guests were able to learn more about SSC and experience a virtual visit to a salmon farm with Donnie Sinclair, Area Manager at Loch Fyne. We also included a cookery demo with Gary Maclean, Scotland’s National Chef, followed by a Q&A chaired by JC Jeffrey, Vice President - Food and Drink at SDI, alongside Su Cox, Communications and New Business Development Director at SSC and Iain MacIntyre, Head of Production-South at SSC.

The event was a tremendous success and SSC plan to arrange more virtual events in the future.
