Location: Marybank, Stornoway

Salary: £22,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Due to significant growth within the company, we are looking to recruit an Engineering Administrator to work as directed by the Engineering Co-Ordinators to proactively support the Engineering North and South departments.

Duties:

  • CMMS - accurately maintaining the CMMS (Pirana) by proactively recording all Engineering activity. Tracking Engineering issues and reporting on cause and actions to close out.
  • Assets - entering all site assets onto the CMMS and all Maintenance activities tracked through the system. Creating an asset register to drive and support future Capex requests through developing full asset life cycle costs.
  • Site Support - ensuring all FEPA oriented tasks are followed through in the correct format and fed back to the Technical department. Ordering critical spares and maintaining stock levels by conducting regular stock takes. 
  • Management Support - supporting the Engineering Co-Ordinators with a wide range of tasks such as travel and training requests, meeting minutes, managing the team holiday calendar, and analysing purchases.
  • Team Support - supporting the Engineering Teams with communication (phone calls, emails etc.) to allow team to focus on maintenance tasks and maintain Engineering noticeboards. 
  • Reporting - creating, updating, and distributing reports. Distributing monthly reporting spreadsheets and support the collation of KPI’s.
  • Health & Safety - ensuring all Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work are up-to-date and coordinating RAMs and associated paperwork for site Engineering visits. Tracking Good Catches and ensuring consistent communication with the Health & Safety department.
  • General - Carrying out a wide range of administrative duties to support the Engineering team as required, such as the Engineering helpdesk email.

Skills/Experience:

  • Highly organised, with the ability to work in a systematic way to manage high volume administrative tasks and projects. Ability to successfully deal with multiple priorities, routine tasks and fluctuating deadlines.
  • Displays strong attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Positive, approachable, flexible, and self-motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as co-operatively as part of a team.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Pirana, MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience working with a Purchase Order system.
  • Ability to encourage a step change in reactive versus proactive maintenance.
  • Experience liaising with external suppliers.
  • Hold a valid full driver’s licence/own transport.
