LEAD AND DEVELOP THE SITE TEAM AT A WORLD-LEADING RAS

At The Scottish Salmon Company, we breed, rear and process superior salmon in the pristine waters of the West Highlands and Islands. As a Freshwater Site Manager, you will lead and develop the team at our flagship Applecross Hatchery - the first of its kind in the UK and, when completed, it will be amongst the largest in the world. 

The site will also be used as a training ground for similar operations to be constructed in Scotland over the next few years. Your focus will include: your team and the day to day running of the site; maintaining a high level of Health & Safety and operational standards; planning, coordinating and monitoring key production tasks against planned targets for the site. What we’re looking for from you:

  •  Management or supervisory experience on a freshwater aquaculture site, ideally with salmon
  • Previous RAS experience is desirable
  • Experienced people manager  
  • Organised with the ability to work under pressure  
  • Results driven with strong awareness of quality and cost 
  • Proven record of maintaining excellent fish husbandry and environmental standards
  • First-hand experience of liaising with statutory authorities such as Marine Scotland/SEPA
