Due to significant growth within the company we are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Partner to provide competent, appropriate and professional Health & Safety Advice, partnering with Heads of Production and Processing Site Managers to provide guidance and support. Location: Based at Marybank but covering the North Region

Salary: Up to £41,000

Assisting all Site/Departmental Managers in establishing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors and visitors whilst meeting or exceeding all relevant statutory, legislative and compliance requirements. Team Members are to be pro-active in developing policies, procedures, safe working practices in an effective, articulate and understandable style that is easy to follow.

 

What does the job entail?

 

·       Support and coach senior managers to interpret and implement standards and policy, deploy plans and track progress. Actively participate in Processing, Technical and Production forums as required and support Health and Safety Representative Forums.

·       Maintain, enhance and communicate a proactive Health and Safety Culture to meet company mission statements, whilst remaining fully up-to-date with UK/Scottish HSE/MCA legislation.

·       Conduct Health & Safety site audits, inspections, ensuring remedial actions are met without compromising company operations. Conduct Accident and Incident Investigations, recommending suitable remedial actions and securing equipment involved for potential failures and inspections.

·       Develop appropriate communications and training materials to support the implementation of Health and Safety initiatives. Provide training and advice at company locations to current legislative requirements and in line with best practice.

·       Perform all duties in a safe manner and as a team member, ensure a safe working environment exists for all employees, upholding current Health and Safety Policies and Procedures at all times.

 

What are we looking for?

 

·       Level 4/5 Occupational Health & Safety Practitioner qualification, or holder of NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent), or holder of NEBOSH Certificate and working towards a Level 4/5 Occupational Health & Safety qualification

·       Able to effectively partner and act as trusted expert advisor to senior operational stakeholders

·       Good analytical/problem solving skills

·       Strong interpersonal/influencing skills

·       Able to plan, control and balance competing priorities

·       Experience in delivering risk management, inspection, audit, investigation and training
