Salary: £19,683.30 per annum (based on 35 guaranteed hours)

Entitled to overtime for hours worked over 40 (paid at x1.5 Monday to Saturday and x2 Sunday)

Hours: Mon-Fri, guaranteed 35 core hours per week exclusive of unpaid breaks

May be required to work up to 40 hours per week depending on the needs of the business

The Opportunity:

We are looking to recruit a dayshift Hygiene Operative to ensure that our communal and office spaces are maintained to a high standard. Our Hygiene Operatives are key to achieving our ambition to be recognised as Scotland’s leading fresh food business.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Domestic Cleaning: Cleaning and maintaining staff welfare facilities, communal areas and office spaces. Duties include sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, loading and unloading dishwasher, replenishing amenities, sanitising touch points, cleaning toilets and changing rooms.
• Laundry Duties: Collecting, organising and maintaining laundry to SSC’s hygiene standards for Processing, Harvest and the Smokehouse.
• Absence Cover: Cover of sickness and holidays which may require earlier or later starts/finish times.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to enhancing the working environment by sharing knowledge and ideas to drive positive changes in your team.

Your Skills & Experience:

Essential

• Displays positive and hardworking attitude
• Flexible and adaptable working across multiple tasks
• Team player with good communication skills
• Actively follows policies & procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• Has an eye for detail to ensure quality and accuracy 

Desirable

• Experience working in a food processing environment
• Basic/Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate  
• An understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
