Mechanical Treatment Operator - Covering Marine Sites over the Western Isles and the West Coast of Scotland

Due to significant growth within the company we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Treatment Operative to work as directed by the Mechanical Treatment Supervisor to complete lice treatments. To work effectively and efficiently within the department and assist the day to day running of the treatment operations within your control. Ensuring all duties are carried out in a timely, safe and responsible manner. Ensuring best practise for fish welfare, equipment and safety standards.


Mechanical Treatment Operator

Location: Flexible – Covering Marine Sites over the Western Isles and the West Coast of Scotland

Salary: £20,767

Shifts: 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off

What does the job entail?     

·       To assist and participate in the daily site treatment process, operations and follow all SOP’s.

·       Communicate with Mechanical Treatment Supervisor

·       Assist with pre-treatment set up of cages

·       Support with equipment maintenance

·       Treatment process

·       Act upon any welfare issues that may arise

·       Operate to the highest standard of Bio security

 

What are we looking for?

 

·       Excellent communication skills

·       Team player

·       Experience in aquaculture & fish husbandry

·       Full clean drivers license

·       Experience of working on and around boats

·       Flexibility on working hours as significant travel required. (Working on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off basis)
