Fulfilling Scotland’s Potential:
Training, Development & Apprenticeships

Training & Development

We are committed to developing and investing in our staff.  In 2015 we launched our Aquaculture Competency Framework for our Marine and Freshwater teams, and in 2016 we launched our Management Development Programme accredited to the Institute of Leadership & Management.  We deploy training courses for all levels of experience across all functions of the business.

Apprenticeships & Young People

We take Pride in supporting young people into stable, skilled employment. In 2018 we employed 14 Modern Apprentices in our Marine and Freshwater sites, last year we enrolled over 38 Apprenticeships including the new Aquaculture Level 4 qualification and an apprentice in the Marketing Department. We work closely with LANTRA, local and national government (including Developing Young Workforce Regional Boards), specialist consultants, colleges and schools to ensure our young people expand their horizons and develop successful careers.
